What is it like to run someone over on the street and leave them to die? Brandi Helper (Mena Suvari) finds out the answer to this question when she is returning home from work one night. The man that she hits is a homeless man named Tom (Stephen Rea). When she first hits Tom, he becomes lodged in the windshield of her car, and she promises to get help for him as soon as she gets home with him. However, Brandi soon changes her mind and becomes convinced that she will never be able to fix her life after this and decides to leave him to die. The question is whether or not Tom will be able to survive the ordeal despite Brandi's decision. Loosely based on a true story.
