Phillip Elliott (Nick Nolte) is an aging professional football player who’s seen his best days pass him by. In fact he must load up on pain pills before he can even begin to play the game he used to love. He plays for the Dallas Bulls, who are the laughing stock of their professional league, as they have failed to be competitive for quite some time now. This does not stop Elliott and his best friend and quarterback, Seth Maxwell (Mac Davis) from living a life full of fast cars, fast times, and fast women as they use their fame to live the good life.
