A group of soldiers are being sent from the harsh realities of war to the harsh realities of court - they're being court-martialed for a variety of wrongdoings. Luitenat Robert Yeager (Bo Svenson) and Private Fred Carnfield (Fred Williamson) lead a larger group of soldiers to achieve freedom by any means necessary and kill a German patrol. Among the dead are Americans on a top secret mission, and to avoid further complication, the toughened soldiers volunteer to continue the mission to hijack a train with a hidden science lab containing a warhead.
